Stu
Once, lived a boy,
Who called himself Stu,
He ran, played, and cried,
As any would too—
And such was the life
Of the boy named Stu.
Stu and his friends,
Together at school,
Learned and listened—not!
They thought they were cool—
And such was the life
Of the boy named Stu.
Alas, but then,
On a warm, spring day,
Before himself stood,
A boy in his way.
Mad, overcome,
Stu picked up his tool,
And jabbed it at him,
Got expelled from school—
And such was the life
Of the boy named Stu.
Then, an event!
Some horrible news!
No more could he run,
A cost so undue—
And such was the life
Of the boy named Stu.
New friends he made,
But saw old ones too,
He played, cried, and swam,
No need to be blue—
And such was the life
Of the boy named Stu.
Last, it would not,
For it burned a flame,
As Stu tried to play,
His "friends" called him names.
They were just kids,
Yes, this, the boy knew,
He said he cared not,
Though this was untrue—
And such was the life
Of the boy named Stu.
Then, an event!
Some horrible news!
No more could he jump,
A cost so undue—
And such was the life
Of the boy named Stu.
Weird he became,
Bad jokes he pursued,
His friends sighed and groaned,
For they were all so crude—
And such was the life
Of the boy named Stu.
It took a toll,
The puns were not good,
For alone walked he,
So misunderstood!
"That's fine," Stu sighed,
"This, I'll get through."
While all the girls,
They thought he was lewd—
And such was the life
Of the boy named Stu.
Then, an event!
Some horrible news!
No more could he walk,
A cost so undue—
And such was the life
Of the boy named Stu.
All but one girl,
Yes, one girl he knew,
To him she was kind,
Still gracious, still true.
And such was the life
Of the boy named Stu.
Stu was amazed,
So filled with wonder,
Her voice was enough,
His heart fell to her.
But then he told friends,
The honest, hard truth,
They laughed, called him names,
'Twas like deja vu.
And such was the life
Of the boy named Stu.
Then, an event!
Some horrible news!
No more could he think,
A cost so undue—
And such was the life
Of the boy named Stu.
Stu hated their
Stupid point of view.
Weeks passed, then months passed,
His love just accrued,
Although the world spun,
He didn't spin too.
Why? He wondered,
Oh why is it true?
For the love 'his life,
Did not love him too.
Then, an event!
Some horrible news!
No more could he feel,
A cost so undue—
He tried so hard,
He finally withdrew,
He traveled so long,
He had traveled to
A place away,
To end it all soon.
He fell behind,
In more ways than one,
But he did not care,
He could not—he's done.
Opening his eyes,
Stu looked at the street,
He saw, unfeeling,
The busy cars' speed.
His last effort,
Was a single thought—
His friends, family,
His life, hard fought.
Then, an event.
Some horrible news.
No more could he live,
A cost so undue—
And such was the life
Of the boy named Stu.
